Student Driven

Empowerment is key. Students take ownership of design, building, programming, and strategic decisions. Mentors guide and teach, but the students drive the robot and the team's success.

From CAD design to competition strategy, every decision is made by our student leaders who learn to take responsibility, think critically, and solve complex problems independently.

Hands-On Learning

From concept to competition, team members gain practical experience in engineering, coding, problem-solving, and teamwork, building skills for the future.

Our students work with professional-grade tools and software, learning real-world engineering practices that prepare them for careers in STEM fields.

Our Team. Our FIRST Story.

2020 Founded
20+ Students
6 Seasons

Since 2020 the Ultrabots have grown from rookies into award winners. We've designed and built six competition robots, competed at regional events, and earned the 2025 Rising Star All-Star Award, all while showing that a small-town team from Lake City can compete with anyone. Every season we push harder, learn faster, and inspire the next group of students to step up and build something great.
